We'll be by your side throughout the process, and once you're up and running, we'll be there to offer helpful advice and reliable support whenever you need it, including the part that frustrates users most: dealing with the network provider itself.
IF YOUR PROPERTY IS FIBRE READY:
The process involves three steps:
* Installation of your fibre line (14-21 business days). If you already have a TP, this step doesn't apply.
-- Please note: This requires that the line is ready for use (i.e. released by the network operator after cancellation by the previous user; otherwise the line may be in holding resulting in a delay) ---
* Activation of your fibre line (typically 5-7 business days after installation).
* Delivery of your fibre router for self-installation (easy to follow steps will be provided)
IF YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT YET FIBRE READY (FIBRE STILL ROLLING OUT / SPECIAL ROLL OUT TO YOUR PROPERTY):
* Installation of your fibre line will depend on many factors, including municipal wayleaves, construction, etc. Installation can take anything from 4-6 months *and* delays can occur. The ISP is not in a position to expedite the roll out.
* The network operator may test the line for commercial operation (up to 30 days).
* Activation of your fibre line once finally installed (typically 5-7 business days after installation).
* Delivery of your fibre router for self-installation (easy to follow steps will be provided)
*** All timelines are general estimates based on a general scenario and subject to variation depending on the exact case. We will advise of any specific conditions which may impact on the timelines.
In some cases, the network engineer will install your router and that's it. In other cases, you may need to follow a few simple steps to install your router. (Please note: almost all ISPs only deliver a basic router; it's usually up to the user to have it set up, or to install a "stronger" router).
* An easy to use guide will be provided in the case of a self-install. If you follow the steps, you'll be connected in a few minutes! (If you get stuck, give us a call on 087 821 7101 Mo-Fr 10am to 6pm!)
* If you prefer for us to install your router, please note a router configuration fee of R500 (plus travel costs, if outside of Gauteng) will be charged.
Before you proceed, please check which provider is available at your address by visiting https://www.vox.co.za/fibre-to-the-home/
Please note: Some packages are restricted by area. We'll let you know if the package you selected is not available at your address.
Your order will be cancelled if your address is not covered by fibre or if you select an incorrect provider (we will notify you if this is the case).
